Adopt a MQTT format convention
For a home automation system (e.g. openHAB among others) to be able to provide auto-discovery and mapping of MQTT topics the MQTT format used should follow a specific convention. The Homie 3.x specification : This vender neutral MQTT convention defines the layout of MQTT topics and the value format....

Re: MQTT - Best practice
Thanks for adding MQTT. I'm very happy you did and I've successfully integrated Robonect with openHAB. Below are my suggestions, FWIW 1) Please include the Timer Status topic. 2) Set the retained flag of the MQTT publish message to true to provide the last good value to a connecting client immediate...

Re: Timer Status: in MQTT
I'm really happy the threshold for an MQTT Message was raised to a difference of 0.5V - in beta2 there were dozens of voltage updates per second ;) - So one step a time. And concerning an MQTT topic, about the state of any timer currently applying: I'm pretty shure it isn't implemented (yet?). But ...

Timer Status: in MQTT
Hello. I'm on V1.0 Beta 3 On the status tab in Web GUI, it says: Timer: Aktiv It's obviously the status of the timer. What is the MQTT topic for that timer status? I can't see any topic for this, I have only a bunch of topics like: robonect/mower/timer/ch0/enable true robonect/mower/timer/ch0/weekda...

Re: Using a node.js module (node-robonect-api) for accessing robonect events in a Home Automation Scenario
I'm happy to hear that! :D Is it possible to send operation mode commands using JSON to Robonect? :?: (Such as Start, End of day, Home, etc) It's quite off topic but you can control the mower from Domoticz by letting Domoticz open an URL. See Übersicht aller implementierten Kommandos . Below is a Do...

Re: Using a node.js module (node-robonect-api) for accessing robonect events in a Home Automation Scenario
What am I missing? Hi Mosvold! It's hard to say but if your node version is v0.12.1 I believe that's where you should look for the problem. First check that You have followed DaveJ's guide . Look for the heading that says Install Node.js . What did the command uname -m tell you? Could you successfu...

Re: Using a node.js module (node-robonect-api) for accessing robonect events in a Home Automation Scenario
Hi msan, i have an other question regarding Domoticz, Its the first time i try to read virtual text devices in blockly events but i cant get it to work. How did you do it? 1.PNG Hi @Cloud! I've never used blockly. In a normal LUA script you can access a virtual Text Device's value like this: otherd...
